Already into our first week of creating a Maker Space in the media center and the excitement is high. The children have been very enthusiastic and ready to create, build and have such a wonderful curiosity about inventing. We have seen great collaboration in the amazing creations that already have been showing up. Makerspaces provide the material and learning environment for STEAM opportunities (Science Technology Engineering, Arts and Math).
We are in the process of stocking our Maker Space here at Mull Elementary so that students can engage in learning experiences that allow them to build, create, design, dream and explore. We need your help. We are in need of several items to be donated to the space. .
The items that we are most in need of are:
Kid friendly tools, Cleaning supplies (limited to paper towels, sponges, soap, Clorox wipes, etc.) Batteries (all sizes) Ziplock Gallon size bags, Large plastic tubs with lids (any size)
Basic Supplies: Paint, paint brushes, markers, legos, building toys, science kits, tape, wood scraps, styrofoam cups/plates or balls, yarn, pencils, straws, yardsticks, foil, wax paper, duct tape, cardboard, paper towel tubes, card stock, tinker toys, erector sets, scrapbooking materials and craft supplies, bags of soil, seeds, and of course monetary donations to purchase supplies would be greatly appreciated.
If you have any items that you are willing to donate, please either email email@example.com or drop off the items with Ms. McMahon in the media center. We appreciate all that each of you do. Please come by and explore our Makerspace with us!
