Administration

Kristin Edwards, Principal

It is an honor to serve as the Principal of Mull Elementary School. I am excited about the opportunity to partner with the dedicated staff, parents and community in ensuring our students have a successful school year. It is my goal to see that all students succeed and reach their greatest potential both academically and socially while providing a safe, nurturing environment.

Burke County has always been my home, and I currently reside in Morganton with my husband and two daughters. I began my career in education in 2005 with Burke County Public Schools. Most recently I served as the Assistant Principal of East Burke Middle School. Prior to my time in administration, I taught at the elementary and middle school levels and served as an Instructional Technology Facilitator. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Lees-McRae College, a Master's degree in Instructional Technology and Media from Appalachian State, and an administrative license from Gardner-Webb University. I am currently pursuing my Doctoral in Educational Leadership degree from Gardner-Webb University.

We have a very unique opportunity at the elementary level to provide a solid academic foundation and positive school experience for each student. Our school motto states, “every student matters, every moment counts, and everyone is a learner everyday.” I am dedicated to ensuring that each student’s experience at Mull Elementary is filled with engaging student centered learning opportunities. A strong school and family relationship is essential to the success of a school and the students within. I feel blessed to be serving as the Principal of Mull Elementary, and I look forward to building relationships with each of the Mustang families this school year.

Sincerely,

Kristin Edwards

Principal
