MOTTO
Every student matters, every moment counts, and everyone is a learner everyday.

What an honor it is to be your child’s principal.   I believe in our school motto that -Every student matters, every moment counts, and everyone is a learner everyday. The staff at Mull Elementary truly believe that every child matters and will go the extra mile each and every day to educate, challenge, nurture, and care for your child. My door is always open and I look forward to getting to know the students, parents and the community.

I have been employed with Burke County Public Schools since 1991. I began my career at Rutherford College as a Before and After school director. During this time I earned my Associates Degree for Western Piedmont Community College. I transferred to Lenoir Rhyne University and earned my Bachelors Degree. I earned my teaching degree from Lees-McRae College.  I began my teaching career at WA Young and taught at Mountain View and Mountain Crest.  During this time I was encouraged by my co -workers and administration to go back to school and earn my masters degree. I completed my Masters Degree in School Administration in 2009 from Gardner Webb University.  In 2006 I achieved my National Boards in Early Childhood as a Generalist. In 2012 I left teaching and became the assistant principal at Freedom High School.  I felt blessed to be a leader in the school that I graduated from. In 2014 I completed the Future Ready Leaders program. In 2015 I was named principal of Mull Elementary School.

My husband and I live in the Salem community. I have two daughters, a son, and two grandchildren.  I love spending time with my family, cooking, playing games, and working outside.
